franklin m. drilonBorn to spouses Cesar M. Drilon, Jr. and Primitiva M. Drilon on November 28, 1945, Senator Franklin Drilonis married to Milagros Serrano Genuino of San Jose, Camarines Sur. He was formerly married to the late Atty. VioletaCalvoDrilon with whom he has two children — Eliza and Patrick.

Franklin finished his elementary education in Baluarte,Molo Iloilo City in 1957 and high school from the University of the Philippines (UP)in Iloilo in 1961. But his thirst for education did not stop there.

He went back to UP and finished Bachelor of Arts in 1965. Not satisfied, he took up law in the same school and landed on the 3rd slot after passing the bar examinations in 1969.
