The part2 There’s the power- crazy world leaders (Examples: Mummar Kadafy of Libya, Hosni Mubarak of Egypt, or Saddam Hussein of Iraq: For being greedy or power- crazy, either ousted or shot down dead, with thousands of their own people suffering the same fate); dictators (in Ferdinand E. Marcos of the Philippines, Adolf Hitler of Germany, or Mousolini of Italy: overwhelmingly more tragic and loss of lives happened during their time and process of stealing lives; more of this later). We have CEOs, chairman of boards or Presidents of giant corporations (as corporate raiders, or collecting unconscionably fat allowance and bonuses at the expense of the stockholders and their clientele, or manipulating the stock market called insider trading); corrupt church leaders (their most effective religious tools, they use fear of God to have their ways with people; when, actually, they’re there only for the money in no- sweat handouts dignified as tithes from unsuspecting faithful; so an easy ride to untaxed religious riches and comfort, like living in flush convents or mansions- moneys from stolen lives of people in exchange for pseudo religious services. Next to politics, this one is the second most lucrative racket ever concocted by a particular group of people, the tax- free at that- aggravating the whole process to the hilt). Perhaps the worst of them all, who have done more harm than good (like the rest of them), are the politicians (who practice self – serving or politics of lies, maladministration, corruption, bungled diplomacy or foreign policy that sometimes result to war); and of course, the private business sector (who engage in price manipulation, create shortages and hoarding, shady deals with governments or among themselves. Their victims, who else but the people. Example, the ill-effects of oil cartel now going – on or perhaps forever), etc. What all this boils down to or can be summed up in just one world: Exploitations, both in denotation and connotation of the word. Literally, meaning- Stealing lives, through manipulative operations of every anomalous kind. In its naked versions, now almost without distinctions, because even the good guys- along with the bad who are already there – are being swallowed up by the vortex of GREED. Extending our sampling a bit farther,  I could be one of them. Maybe you, too, as well. In my case, I could be accused of pretending to possess special knowledge on the subject I’m here writing about. When, in reality, I may just be motivated by something else, like trying to influence  my readers  into  believing something I ‘m not qualified to talk about. Because the truth of the matter is, all I’ve is a college education, which might not be enough to qualify me to write about the subject matter as delicate as this one. For, indeed, with such subject of worldwide scope and implications, could be beyond me, the people here I’m alluding to, might say. And they could be right. But, in this occasion, definitely they’re wrong. Because, believe it or not, what I have is something more, that I hold most sacred and holy. Which I honestly believe is more than good enough to qualify me to say what I’ve to say about the matter. After all, this is also my world, the home of my children and grandchildren, which I love more than you can imagine. And what I have, simple it might be, is one life- ticket that has no sparkle- even despised by no other than the Pretenders of our time. But, if you ask me, a simple man, it’s absolutely more precious than gold. Yes, even more precious than all the gold or riches than one can ever acquire in his lifetime. Which, unfortunately, to him, only to leave behind when he gets buried 6 feet underground. What a twisted fate of irony, in which it’s only in death that we become horizontally equal- when it should be in life standing tall and healthy – that we should dignify and honor each other under the might of equality and harmony. Not quite. Because today our motivations are more greed- driven than otherwise. Me. M e. And Me first. Selfishly . So it’s no longer survival of the fittest, but of the greediest. Here, of course, I’m talking about our human values, like common sense, open-mindedness, charity, and most of all: Honesty of the heart, which, with the rest of them, we all have thrown out of our windows, and in lieu substituted them with the most abhorrent and shocked culture of avarice of the extreme kind. Thus our values just become some kind of decor to be displayed when needed to adorn the ugly side of our humanity. Now look at us, look at the world we’re getting and having, can’t you see it? You must be playing blind. It’s time to open your eyes and be counted, brothers, for your own sake and the brother next to you- who might be a member of your own family. Also, consider this: We all have faiths to follow. We all have principles to stand for. Or, we all have consciences to guide us in every pursuit. These are at least three kinds of life-ticket we bring to play for our train ride to destiny. With which one did you come to planet earth? Frankly, it doesn’t seem to matter anymore. Because, in the true scheme of things, our earth (or the 99% of it) right now, for all intents and practical purposes, is in the absolute control of the power elites of the Rich & Famous or Men of Stature (the 1%, says Occupy Wall Street) of every class and distinction. So, we might ask: Who are these people? In my book, they are, by general description, people who come wearing different types of attires. In fact, history is replete with kings or nobles wearing crowns of gold of various sizes. Likewise, power brokers (more referred to as men of the grey flannel suits) of the world sporting different size-suits in whatever role they play, which they always play so well to their advantage. In the process, unsuspecting of their real motives, more often than not, even rob us of life to the extent of turning that life into what I call, the living dead. In our minds, therefore, the question really is, in the true thick of things: Is the world a better place because of their built and the cutting edge technology they have found, either for good or evil (take your pick, they have it)? Or, are the kings or nobles worth their status as men of stature… and so, they may be looked upon as ‘’saints’’… or the worse kind of ‘’hooligans,’’ who make or break people’s lives- or even steal them? The story is long and sad. By the grace of God- He is our only hope and salvation; or, by the devil’s specter- this is the one that is now engulfing us, that makes our story really sad and gory. Still, what’s more tragic, in the latter case, it’s more the life of the living that they steal. Where, if you ask me, I would rather be dead, when the life I have to live is no life at all, as meant to be lived. Today, there are billions of them living that kind of life around the world. Stolen lives, I call them, because of GREED of the rich and famous or men of stature, who seem to want or have them all. The people I’m talking about have no names. They are simply called- the POOR! Occupy Wall Street is really on the right track and on target. If you believe in coincidences , there’s one I’d like to talk about. It’s not only apparent but real, and they seem to have apparent but real, they seem to have a perfect fit. It came to me as a flashback, when my thoughts were a million years away from the 60’s. But it came, flashing like crazy. It was about a movie where Clint Eastwood was the star, along with Lee Van Cleep and Eli Wallace. It was called: the Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, represented by the stars in that order. If you’ve seen the movie, you would know what I mean, how the hero and villains mixed them  up at the expense of each, other, and the people around them as victims. There’s no doubt whatsoever they’re a most fitting replica of the Three Worlds we have. What a coincidence, I said to myself. There’s indeed a perfect fit of the three being called: the Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. That is, more or less, in its ideological aspect, the Good stands for the First World of the Rich & Famous or Men of Stature, lead by the United States and the Western Block; the Bad represents the  Second World of the so-so rich and not so rich under the umbrella of the Soviet Union (USSR) and the former Communist Block before its collapse; and the Ugly embodied by the Third World of the Second inside their own domain or sphere of influences. This, too, is a long story, even sadder than sad. How sadder, read on-if you will. That, in the depth of it all, while the world is generally at peace, what I’m about to illustrate are the reasons why our planet earth is in trouble, not because of a shooting war (except in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, and elsewhere sporadically at this writing), where we’re killing each other, but of a more catastrophic nature than war itself. Yes, I’m talking of course of the ‘’war’’ against the entire culture of GREED by those who have against the have-nots, where more lives of both living and dead are involved more than we can ever imagine. This is what I mean…
